I am looking to find a way to send the message of "We Need Trees" as far as I can. This message is a symbol of our work but educating more people and increase the awareness about environment are what I am about to do. Education is a very important way to stop destroying the nature, and of course kids are making future. so educated kids will do much better than what we are doing now!!!!
mission
I want to give this message to you , all of you and all people of the world without considering their race , religion or nationality .
I am going to ask all the people of the world to keep the “ care for the
world and plant trees ” , because our life depends on the life of the trees .
To put it in action ,I am cycling around the world to pass the message of WE NEED TREES and in cities along the way I go to schools to make a workshop for kids and talk about trees. I talk about trees and their importance in our life and we discuss to find out what we indevidually can do for our planet to keep it clean.
Kids are making future and if they learn how to look after nature then we will have green earth and blue sky.
About my workshops in school
In the school we usually set a workshop with students ( age between 7 to the end of high school !). first I tell them about my journey a bit and after ward we discuss about our personal impact on environment. there re some materials like PPT, pictures, video which I use during the class.
At the end we wrap up with planting a tree all together to symbolize our action and make a physical contact with earth. we always use our hands to give dirt and soil to the tree and some part of our soul too, in return to receive from earth.
All my activities and visiting school is for free, just I will be happy if school provide the tree, otherwise I will bring it myself.

I was trying to find a way for tree planting in Isfahan and through a friend of mine” Shadi “ we were looking for a school for my presentation.
she got a day off from her work to follow the issue but she didn’t succeed because of some special rules in the educational system in Iran which I think is somehow silly.
anyway the people in department of education wanted to meet me in person !! I went there again with Shadi and she got one more day off but we were not actually welcomed. Even though as soon as they found I am going to show kids a power point they rejected me …

Cycling through the heart of central desert in Iran

I was there in Baiazeh over night. Actually I was looking for a place to stay overnight in people’s house, so it could be a chance to experience a local life style there, because of that I was hanging around for about 2 hours but I didn’t have much luck.
At last I ended up with Imamzadeh ( some holy places people go to pray). I got a room there for free. I was a bit tired but I couldn’t sleep because I had a live radio interview at 22:30, so I had to stay awake and the best way to pass the time was working on computer.
I finished the interview at 23:00 but my work was not done and I had to continue till midnight.
That’s true I had a room, a roof on top and a heater but I was feeling pity to miss that moonlight. I was happier to camp and sleep in chilly weather outside but having that beautiful light over my tent.  Few times over night I came out to see the moon but there were so much lights and I was unable to see the beauty of silence of desert which is something I don’t like to miss.
Next day I didn’t have much to ride…just less than 30km to Garmeh where I there is a wonderful traditional guesthouse in the heart of central desert in Iran.
I arrived to Garmeh around 11am and after 20min a friend of mine with his wife also joined. We were synchronized to join there and to have 2 days together, it means I was off from cycling for 2 days.

Cycling through the longest abundant road in Iran

Tabas to Baiazieh

It was no so pleasant to stay in a closed room alone in Emamzadeh ( means tomb of some holy persons which people go there to pray! Or something like pilgrim).

That’s why I didn’t stay in Tabas more than a night even though I needed more rest. In that room I did all the wrong things a guest could ever does!!! Taking shower in toilet !!! toilet didn’t have hot water, so I filled my bottles which were in total 3 liter of got water.

Then I went to the toilet, I washed the ground with cold tab water and I washed myself with that 3 litter of hot water. My mother would kill me if I do that way at home!! The other wrong thing I did was cooking inside the room. Outside was bloody cold and I just took shower, the kitchen was exactly the other side of the yard….so far !!! Anyway it is just an excuse but I also was tired!!!! It was not all….I washed my cloths in toilet and I made a rope inside the room and I hanged them to dry!!! I don’t forgive myself…I was more lazy than tired, or scared of catching cold.

Qaien to Tabas

Qaien to Tabas

After I arrived Qaen I had to take a day off because of my legs which were so cramped. I haven’t cycled for a long time and it will take some days for my legs to be in real shape again. whole day I was at home ( a friend of mine has a house there and gave me the key). It is so good sometime to do nothing..just sitting, sleeping watching movie and of course doing my work. It was almost an easy day to cycle to Birjand. Just 100km but some hills. I was getting better and I could pedal a bit faster and with better rhythm.
In Birjand I stayed 4 days…my mother is from there and so many relatives I have in Birjand, 5 aunts, ankle, and cousins and also so many friends. So 4 days was almost nothing to meet them all and after I left Birjand still I was receiving calls telling me “ why did you left so quick? We still haven’t met !!!” but anyway I had to leave, no way!! I cant stay somewhere that long. Hasan Khorashadi who is also a cycle tourist from Birjand accompanied me for some km to get out of the city and then again I was alone while I was so excited. The dream was going to come true…I could cycle through desert and I could camp in desert and enjoy the beauty of silence and loneliness in desert.

So I try to visit schools and plant trees with kids. the first city was Birjand. A friend of mine Hossein organized a school for tree planting and also my aunt’s husband who is principle in a school helped me to plant a tree in his school.

Start again...this time in Iran

It has been almost 4 months after I came back home….when I came back Iran, I was thinking which I may stay for a month or at most 2 but suddenly I found myself being stuck again. It was not something I could take it, it was not something I could even live!! While I am belong to the road where I can move, where I can see new things and where I can live my little kid inside my heart.

I began to start a NGO for “weneedtrees” which has been some kind of my aim before I start this project. It is not easy at all to organize a team specially when I am not there all the rime but fortunately I could find some responsible people who I can trust on their work and their concern for mother earth.

But still was not enough to keep me alive, I cant stay somewhere that long even though I was doing something, my soul was in prison, and I was not that much happy which I am expecting myself.

Cycling in Tajikistan

Salam…a very familiar word I would ever can hear …it was the very first word I heard in Tajikistan while border crossing. I was in Tajikistan, where people speak Tajik which is almost the same language Persian countries speak with a little bit difference, here the language is much under influence of Russian and many Russian words in their language but still easy to understand and communicate. It was very hot and I had 90km to Khojand, but I was already enough tired and there was a lake ahead on the way to Khojand which I was going to stay overnight by the lake.

Iskandar kool....having some nice company in mountain

My last journal was quite boring as I didn’t have enough courage to write it well…I don’t know actually why I wrote it when I could do it well.

anyway after our Birthday celebration with Ernct we discussed about going to Iskandar kool which is a lake 24km off from the main road.

Before that also 2 times people had told me about that lake. One of them was a police man who stopped me in a downhill when I was riding at 45km/h …he just stopped me and told me which I should visit Iskandar kool. I was laughing when he stopped me in that speed just to recommend me a place to visit. It was Friday and I had nothing to do in Dushanbe…so that lake could be a nice place to spend a day or two..

Uzbekistan...again the length of visa is a problem to cross the country

I didn’t have enough time to stay in Tashkent to visit the city. I arrived late at night after I got rid of jail in Kazakhstan and directly I went to Nargizia’s house which was going to host me in Tashkent. I only had a day and half to stay in Tashkent which I already had lost half day in Kazakh jail!! So I had to organize everything and meet people I was suppose to meet in just one day, also I had to write my dairy and update my website which actually took few hours. It was Friday and I was at home working till afternoon. I had some contacts from CS’s and I could call just one of them to meet and I decided to meet the one who is working in education field.
