vision
I am looking to find a way to send the message of "We Need Trees" as far as I can. This message is a symbol of our work but educating more people and increase the awareness about environment are what I am about to do. Education is a very important way to stop destroying the nature, and of course kids are making future. so educated kids will do much better than what we are doing now!!!!
mission
I want to give this message to you , all of you and all people of the world without considering their race , religion or nationality .
I am going to ask all the people of the world to keep the “ care for the
world and plant trees ” , because our life depends on the life of the trees .
To put it in action ,I am cycling around the world to pass the message of WE NEED TREES and in cities along the way I go to schools to make a workshop for kids and talk about trees. I talk about trees and their importance in our life and we discuss to find out what we indevidually can do for our planet to keep it clean.
Kids are making future and if they learn how to look after nature then we will have green earth and blue sky.
About my workshops in school
In the school we usually set a workshop with students ( age between 7 to the end of high school !). first I tell them about my journey a bit and after ward we discuss about our personal impact on environment. there re some materials like PPT, pictures, video which I use during the class.
At the end we wrap up with planting a tree all together to symbolize our action and make a physical contact with earth. we always use our hands to give dirt and soil to the tree and some part of our soul too, in return to receive from earth.
All my activities and visiting school is for free, just I will be happy if school provide the tree, otherwise I will bring it myself.

On the way back from Kazbeki....

I was in Kazbeki for 2 days and I met many nice people from many different places. Spending all first night with Polish, hiking with Michel the American guy second day and having talk with Julian and Ann the French couple last night and also traveling for a day with Russian family was what I have done in Kazbeki. In Kazbeki area I stayed in a village called Gergetti just next to Stepansmindra in Nazi guest house. Where I could have a bed, food for 3 meals and tea and coffee whatever I wanted during the day in just 20$ which was quite good deal.

First day

I left Tbilisi at around 12. I had to do many things before I leave the house. I had to send a report for a radio which was failing few times in that morning, so I had to wait till I finish it. Anyway finally it was time to leave another people who I had made a deep relation with them. At last Ugis tights a band on my wrist which was a flag of Latvia. I had almost 160km to Kazbeki which is a city far on the north near Russia. A very mountainous city which is really scenic and beautiful.

Tbilisi...Georgia

When I arrived to Tbilisi I just called from a private shop Ugis my Latvian host who I found him through CS. He gave me an address but as always it was not easy to understood people where I want to go. At the beginning the lady who I used her phone asked me 3 GEL which is almost 2$ for just 2 min talk…it wasn’t very pleasant start but I just ignored it and I went to Freedom sq where I met Ugis first. He is living just 5min walk from the main St which is so convenience to travel around the city. Ok first of all let me tell you something about my Latvian friends here in Tbilisi.

Lake Sevan to the border and having some funny story

Apr

Second day after Sevan lake

Next day I passed the tunnel and I cycled a long downhill to dilijan. After that road was quite fine but still I had some hills. Weather was quite nice, fortunately no rain and just a heavy fog which was just like spring. I was passing though a jungle in a hill but actually I couldn’t see anything. But I could feel spring. I really like that foggy weather very much. I cycled 100km that day then I reached a river down in the valley. It was a very beautiful place and just perfect to stay overnight. I could cycle for more one hour but I didn’t like to lose that beautiful place. I was looking for a place to camp under a roof. In that day all day I was dreaming a very nice and quiet place. I really wanted to enjoy silence and peace and myself. I wanted to listen to the river and birds and not to talk at all, not even to hear anything just birds and river. I saw a beautiful small church ...

Leaving Yerevan

First day, leaving Yerevan
Finally I left Yerevan after such long time I was there waiting for my visa’s, even though I couldn’t get any.
My Armenian visa was going to expire on 26 and it was my last day I ever could stay in Yerevan. Actually last day I was going to leave but to be honest I was feeling to stay another day. After having all those beautiful days with Gagik in his house it was really hard to leave and I just kept postponing my journey to Georgia.
There was no time left…we had our last goodbye party (we had 3 times and I didn’t leave!!) and I packed.

Planting tree in school 49

Finally after such a long time staying here in Yerevan I was going to leave Armenia and Yerevan but another school was organized for tree planting. Gagik and I went to school no 49 where Gagik’s son is studying. First we went there but we could meet principle and on the next day we went there again…principle was gone. But he just left school and Gagik jumped on his car and drove fast.

Planting tree in some schools in Yeghvard

In Yerevan I met Maryam Sukhodyan who is human’s right and environment activist, a very strong but kind person who actually has devoted her life for human being and also nature. We met first somewhere around Abovian street and we spend almost a whole afternoon talking. At night while I was chatting with her over FB she sent some requests to her friends asking for co operation of tree planting.

Planting tree in school 195 "Yerevan"

On Tuesday April’s 12 I was looking for a school to have another workshop. Gagik was driving me around the city looking for an opportunity whole the day. We went to many different places but we couldn’t find any. It was a bit pity as I was really eager to have more school to talk here in Yerevan. In the afternoon we went to visit his friends’s mother. A 90 years old lovely lady..
