vision
I am looking to find a way to send the message of "We Need Trees" as far as I can. This message is a symbol of our work but educating more people and increase the awareness about environment are what I am about to do. Education is a very important way to stop destroying the nature, and of course kids are making future. so educated kids will do much better than what we are doing now!!!!
mission
I want to give this message to you , all of you and all people of the world without considering their race , religion or nationality .
I am going to ask all the people of the world to keep the “ care for the
world and plant trees ” , because our life depends on the life of the trees .
To put it in action ,I am cycling around the world to pass the message of WE NEED TREES and in cities along the way I go to schools to make a workshop for kids and talk about trees. I talk about trees and their importance in our life and we discuss to find out what we indevidually can do for our planet to keep it clean.
Kids are making future and if they learn how to look after nature then we will have green earth and blue sky.
About my workshops in school
In the school we usually set a workshop with students ( age between 7 to the end of high school !). first I tell them about my journey a bit and after ward we discuss about our personal impact on environment. there re some materials like PPT, pictures, video which I use during the class.
At the end we wrap up with planting a tree all together to symbolize our action and make a physical contact with earth. we always use our hands to give dirt and soil to the tree and some part of our soul too, in return to receive from earth.
All my activities and visiting school is for free, just I will be happy if school provide the tree, otherwise I will bring it myself.

15 days of cycling through Turkey- part 3

Sep

Day 8
I rode that day all the way to Girsum.  Around midday I was looking for a spot to swim which I met 3 Iranian motor bike riders and we had lunch together.
That day I was looking for a rocky place to camp. Just after Girsum I found it and I camped there, where I could swim between rocks in the morning

15 days of cycling through Turkey- part 2

Day 2

I haven’t had a long stop in Igdir as I should consider the time, language barrier and I was full of energy and so excited to be on the road again.
I wanted to be out in the nature, to camp, to sleep under starry sky and listen to the nature. I was so impatient.
I left Fatma’s parents and said goodbye to them on the street. I was there on my bike and I was feeling the real journey has begun.
A very hot day while I had to climb a long hill under the heat. Temperature was around 45 C and I was burning!! I had to drink too much water just to provide enough water to my body.
I could have rest for some time and climb that hill in a better weather but I did it in the hottest time of the day at 14:00 pm. The reason I did it because I was in Iran for a long time and I needed to get back to the normal condition of mental ability. Living at home and within people bring lots of fear because people transfer all their fears to you and I needed to wash my soul,

I am on the road again

Aug
26

It was already 6 months after I returned home from S Korea to do my peace ride project with Rick. I kept traveling through Iran after Rick left Iran till I came to a point which I found myself quite busy with friends and people on my way.
So I decided to stop cycling in Iran and spend some time on my own, basically training to get ready for the next part of my journey.
3 months later I was totally impatient and I could stay any longer in Iran. I needed to move and to be on the road again.
I had already my visa but I didn’t have enough money to afford flight to any destination to Europe. It is high season and flights are quite expensive, so after searching a lot I found a flight from Istanbul to Milan which was quite cheap but I had to wait 28 days for that flight.
I had no choice, either to wait to see if

Leaving Bushehr to enjoy spring in Shiraz

May
18

Finally after 2 weeks I left Bushehr. I had 2 wonderful weeks with Mazdak and Alaleh who hosted me and also the weather was getting warm. It was enough to continue my journey south along the Persian Gulf and I had to follow spring farther north. So I decided to go toward Shiraz and then North West where I could go through mountains which is amazingly beautiful in spring.
I knew Mazdak and Alaleh since 2 years ago before I cycle through Europe and they helped me to provide a video about my journey. Alaleh was director and Mazdak was producer for that video.
Knowing them and being aware of their beautiful heart encouraged me to go to Bushehr and have sometimes with them, but like always time was over again with some beloved ones. I had to leave and go for my life, for the road and for the new stories.
I had some friends in Borazjan which is a city 60km north of Bushehr on my way to Shiraz. So my first day was quite easy.

Cycling through south of Iran

Apr
14

After Rick, I spent the most of my time in south of Iran except my flight to Mashhad because of my sister’s wedding party and my returning back again to south by my car. It wasn’t the first time of my travelling by airplane but I think whoever saw me that how I was looking out the window of the airplane thought so .I was so amazed and nearly most of the time of my flight spent watching out….I have travelled more than the average level that people travel but I still feel I need to see more, more and more …..I am still thirsty to visit the nature and generally the world, that’s kind of everlasting hunger!!

Less than one month of New Year passed.

Workshop and tree planting in BandarAbbas

Apr

"It is February, I am in the south of Iran in Bandarabbas that spring has been almost started, fragrance of mango blooms can be felt everywhere, I am here to spread the message of " we need trees" with school children, again lovely and innocent kids that can change their way of life, children are all the same, frank questions, funny reactions, freely laughing at some of my photos, I was in a class full of 10 or 11 year-old boys, they are full of energy and curiosity, I am telling them that why we need trees and why we should care about our climate and nature, they are asking me honestly and s

My journey in Iran before meeting with Rick

Feb
24

Meeting Rick in Iran and starting our common project Despite all my efforts to prepare my visa to Oman didn’t succeed.
Waiting to get ready my visa is a part of challenges that I face in my trips. Rick and I had a common project to do in Oman country but waiting for visa was postponing this goal.in one hand this obstacle had kept my mind busy, on other hand I believed that this delay has reason and must happen to me. I believe my faith. This kind of attitude to my problems and obstacles that I face in my way makes me calm and reduce my stress

Back to Iran

Jan

Leaving Korea and going back to Iran for getting visa I was still in Korea and didn’t know what exactly to do for taking next step in my way. I didn’t know exactly how to manage my plan with Rick for peace ride project and how to get visa and join him. Whenever I am in this kind of dark situation, I used to create a calm and relaxing atmosphere to think more .I needed a place to be alone .Because of my style of life ,I couldn’t provide this environment easily.

Workshop in Honey Bee English institute inhuncheon

Dec
05

I met Katie in Chuncheon in my first visit in that city.
I knew her for a while in FB and here I had a chance to meet her in person and she organized me to come over again and talk to her students about my project.
BAsically if I am goig to write about visiting school, I would write the same thing as I do always which is quite boring and here I just copied an email from Katie. I will alsoo add some of the feedbacks from students to this journal when I have them.
To see my students genuinely interested in a topic is no small gift. To see them genuinely interested in a topic and want to talk about it is transforming. Mohammad's visit was special, not just because his story is interesting and inspiring, but because he engages students, and then encourages them to think about important issues facing our planet today.
He brings the world into the classroom, making it small enough for students to hold in their hands and analyze from different angles. Korean students are typically pretty shy, so I was really surprised

These days I am focusing on the association ( www.weneedtrees.net ) to start in Iran. We have a great progress here in Iran and soon I will go to Switzerland to do some work there with our board members.
I need to commute between Iran and Switzerland quite often in coming months to make sure things working properly.
But I am just missing my bike and hopefully soon I will find a chance to ride it at least for a little while.
